Rev. Arthur Slye
Founding General Superintendent of the Bethel Methodist Denomination
Rev. Arthur Slye served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Arlington, and received his Masters from Dallas Theological Seminary.
He served as a senior minister of three Methodist churches in Texas over a period of 25 years. He became district superintendent and later was elected the founding general superintendent of the Bethel Methodist Church, an independent Methodist denomination, where he served as superintendent for 14 years.
