COVID-19 UPDATE: 17 March 2020

Dear Bethel Family,

We, along with the rest of the world, continue to follow the impact of the Coronavirus on our world and in our own communities. We continue to pray for and witness God’s abiding peace. These days represent a vast opportunity for proclaiming the truth that grants strength and stability. The pastors of our churches have unanimously agreed to support the President in his call for a 15 day suspension of all face to face meetings (today through the end of March). This will help support efforts to smooth out the curve of the virus and help avoid any unnecessary strain on our medical system.  During this time we intend to adapt our ministry to meet the ongoing need.  We are working to provide full length current sermons every Sunday on the website.  In addition we will provide devotional videos to fill the gap of missing lessons and devotions. We encourage family worship at our regular times of service. We are developing other ideas of how we will continue to minister to our church members and to those in the community. As Franklin D Roosevelt famously said, “the only thing we have to fear is fear itself, nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror which paralyses needed efforts to convert retreat into advance.”  We are advancing for the kingdom of God’s sake!  God is our refuge (Psalm 46) and He hasn’t given us a spirit of fear (II Timothy 1:7). He has given us a spirit of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

COVID-19 UPDATE: 13 March 2020

Dear Bethel Family,

We, along with the rest of the world, are following the impact of the Coronavirus on our world and our own community. We are being responsible in prayer and we want to do our part to protect the most vulnerable in our church family and beyond. We trust that if you are sick or want to protect yourself and others that you will stay home. We understand, encourage and respect personal decisions.

We are grateful to have an effective and active website to help supply those who are unable to participate in live services. Also, we are all being reminded of the importance of cleanliness. We need to revive an old saying, "cleanliness is next to godliness".

At this time our board has decided to hold services as usual. We will respect your space and will accept elbow bumps for those who are being extra careful. We will do extra cleaning before services. Also, we will keep in contact with our well connected health professionals within our church family. We will keep you all informed and in our prayers to God through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. God has not given us a spirt of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind (II Timothy 1:7).

Seeking to be a good witness of God's perfect peace,

Pastor Jerry
